After my off at Swanmore can i pass
on my thanks to the First Aiders on site who supported me
while i was on another planet and in a lot of pain. The Club
officials who where, as always, simply the best and stopped
the race so i could be attended to. And a big "Sorry"
to who ever was leading my race when it was stopped and all
the other races who had to wait in the cold while they uncurled
me and got me on the body board. If anyone can remember how
i ended up on the floor please let me know as i have no idea
how i ended up there...
I hope to see you all soon and hope everyone has a great and

Hi
would just like to say yes another great days racing. However
being a quad riding we felt a bit used and abused with Jamie's
decision to run us quads as field levellers, with the thought
of running practice, heats and 1st race back to back, but once
we had flattened the rough and icy ground it all went well.
I hope eddie is ok after Unfortunately having an off on the
jump, and hope this isn't the excuse his wife wants to stop
him racing (ha ha). Yes it did make a change for us quads
to have an early day as we always seem to be the last race.
lets hope Swanmore brings another great days racing.

The
race at Foxholes on Sunday was the first time i had ridden
for ages and was looking really forward to it . Unfortuanatly
i was one of the riders that fell foul of the foxholes curse
later in day and that was the ruts at the bottom of the drop
offs..This has led to me ending up with a shattered wrist
joint ,amongst other injuries and thus putting me out for
a while again!.... but I am looking forward to coming along
to the meetings to watch and support untill able to ride.
I
would like to say a big THANK YOU to all the marshalls and
emergency crews who assited me after the accident , they were
brilliant as always . Must say that Jamie is 100% right when
he runs these meetings on a Safety First basis and this shows
with the great crews he gets in to cover these race meetings.....Thanks

Hopefully
an accident free weekend is on the cards for West Meon....RIDE

Well done to Jamie( maybe Rob Turner!!)
for another wise decision on the cancellation of the Swanmore
event, I live 5 miles from Swanmore and it has not stopped
raining all day and would have been a mudbath. Although the
cancellation meant that I have won this years vets championship,
it was not the way I wanted to win it as Paul moyes still
had a very good chance of winning it if I had had a poor finish,
and I had wanted to cross the line as champion rather than
win it because of the weather!! Also well done to Jamie, Spike
and the team for another successful year of HMX, and well
done to Geoff and his merry band of marshals of have got the
marshalling system sorted, I don’t remember one tannoy
call being made for marshals during the year!! Thank god my
brother didn’t ride this year as he may well have won
it or worse still, put me in Winchester hospital again with
concussion!! Well done to Roy and Jo poynter for the best

Full Marks to Jamie and the crew for putting on a great event,

As normal Stumpy done the Club proud with the Auction.
I have found a form that can be used to submit comments on

Thought the BB needed something new
so can anyone enlighten us as to news on the LB event. Do
we have a venue? Do we have a date? And more importantly,
the later it gets telling everyone the more chance they have
booked holiday or other race events, so therefore will the
LB run as a championship event or just as an add on for fun.
Also perhaps you could let us know what difficulties you are
having finding a venue as there may be a website reader that
knows of the perfect one to hold it.

Well done to Jamie and his hard working
crew for the watering of the Swanmore track, has to be said
that with no rain for 3 weeks, the meeting could have not
run at all without the bowser and track preperation!! The
track layout was better as well with the track being tightened
up a bit which is needed with some tracks being too fast nowadays,
this was probably why there was less use of the ambulances!!
I have read on a mx forum elsewhere one HMX member moaning
about how rough swanmore was, I've said it before and I`ll
say it again, get a road bike pal!! Funniest thing I have
seen for a long time was Rob Whiting`s brother(Steve?) over

Just
a note regarding the issue of getting the circuit tape etc
in at the end of the meetings.
Maybe it would be a good idea to have all groups assist with
this before any trophies or results are given as i know that
this must take a while compile if we all mucked in it would
only take a few minutes.
An idea may be to rotate the order of each group at each meeting
so say that the A group would have the last race of the day
at one meeting,B group the last race the next meeting ,C group
the next and so on so that the last group race of the day
would be responsible for helping get it all in.
At the moment most of the riders get away as soon as their
group race is finished so are not around to help....rotating
the groups could be a fair way of getting more deserved help
in clearing up at the end of the meeting.
Just a thought!

Terry, the results are normally posted
on the website on Wednesday or Thursday following the event.
The reason they did not go on until a lot later following
West Meon, was that Jamie Sanderson was away, and there were
a few queries that needed clearing up.
As soon as this happened the points were updated.
There was a message posted on the home page that explained
what was going on.
Hopefully there will not be such a delay in the future.

Just a quick one in response to an earlier
e-mail regarding tracks.
Jamie has confirmed West Meon, Swanmore, Foxholes and Binstead
for the 2007 season, and the club is currently in talks with
a possible four other venues.
Popham is being looked out in the next few weeks to try and
see if a race meeting there would be possible.
I won't reveal any of the other tracks at this stage until
some thing more concrete is in place.
The club will do its best to try and ensure that there is
a good mix of tracks for next season.

Just wanted to say what a fantastic
championship the Hampshire Motocross Club has run this year.
I think that Jamie, Spike and the team have done a great job
so credit where it's due.The
new format is works really well, having the first block of
the days in your relevant class, especially me being in with
other old boys and having a nice leisurely ride before it
all kicks off in the A Group. I even got to round of the year
by running my own brother over at Swanmore! Shame I'm not
riding next year but if the 2007 championship is half as good
as 2006 then it'll be great.

with some tracks making three apperances. Does popham hold
races, cant Gunner or tonymoto be an option, Foxhills.
Im not having ago at anyone I know how hard tracks are to

I believe there wasn't an issue with
the Triple, it just needed remodelling. There has never been
any issues with the whoops, there fine. I agree that Motocross
isn't supposed to be an easy sport (Although some people make
it look very easy) but all parts of all tracks, at some time
or another, become worn to the point of being dangerous. They
maybe just needed some maintenance but that throws up the
problem of volunteers who would lend a hand if required as
these things don't get done by themselves. But in Jamie's
defence (I don't think he needs my backing in anyway) he has
listened to the bellyaching from amongst other me and attempted
to change and this a lot of clubs would not do.

was definitely the right thing to do removing the triple,
my knees told me so, but the rest of the track is great.
I
think we're quite lucky in the Southern Centre with the amount
of tracks we have. I recently rode an Eastern Centre Championship
Meeting in Essex and the track was no where near as good as
any of the tracks we ride, and the meeting wasn't run any
where near as well as Hampshire or UMX. Of course it would
be nice to have other new tracks all the time but as Jamie
says it's hard enough keeping the ones we have already. Keep

And as for the chap who wants gunner, foxhills and tonymoto,
mate you will get lynched by most club members(not me), these
tracks have jumps and it sounds like most club riders don't
want them, tonymoto has about four doubles and umpteen tabletops
for starters. Tracks have to be technical,

Jamie ignore the comment about the whoops
it's one of the only good overtaking places keep them there.
What I would like say is about the amount of sand baggers
we have in the club. Whats the point if you want trophies
that badly win them in the class more suited to you it's more
of a challenge and not only that you get more points in the
championship.
Those that sand bag in the quads you know who you are..........

in the ground which i and allot of other club members find
very dangerous. Me and other club members have suggested that
you change the triple to a more satisfactory and less dangerous
jump e.g. table top, rhythm section, a safe double, not something
that is able to rip apart your bike if you make a little mistake.
Other than that i am very pleased with my season so far at

Time to revamp the jumps (3 in a row)
after the woods at Fobdown. A few people have suggested removing
the first one and using the dirt to fill in between the next
2 to make a Tabletop. I know it does sort out the men from
the boys but the faces and landings are becoming 'bike breakers'
as well as 'bone breakers'

Hi,
I think Jamie needs to take a close look at the groups, as
there are a lot of riders in groups that they are too good
for.
The only reason I can see for this, is too get a trophy.
The people that do this are only robbing themselves, as they
should be in faster groups that they may take a season or
so to win a trophy in.
